When asked as a child what I wanted to be when I grow up, the answer was always, "I want to help people." This has never changed. At some point in the pursuit of a degree in Clinical Psychology I realized that psychology was so very much NOT the right path for me. So I paused to reassess. While I pondered, I entered massage therapy training to increase my earning potential while also fulfilling my primary objective: to help people! Well, I loved it way more than I thought I would, and here I am 10 years later, still loving it!
As it happened I took a fateful 13 mile hike (with zero training) two days before starting massage school - and ruptured and herniated the last disc in my spine. Because of this, I believe, I've become sensitized to the plight of those with both acute and chronic pain issues, particularly those with autoimmune pain disorders and those who have just incurred a painful injury. In addition, this has also sensitized me in general to those who may have trepidations about receiving massage, whether because they have never had one, or they may have had a less than ideal experience in the past, or just haven't thought they liked to have hands on them!
My range of depth is fairly wide. I can achieve fairly deep pressure; I have had great success with Blakey Method deep tissue, sports massage, and sports injury. I also have a number of techniques in the light to very light pressure range (including, among others, Reiki) that are very effective when called for, and I can work anywhere in between. Coming in just to relax? Snoring is allowed in my room.

I graduated top of my class from Cortiva School of Massage in Scottsdale and my desire to relieve pain and reduce stress in my clients drives me to continually learn new techniques, review what I have already learned and evaluate every session for better techniques.
I've been massaging my family and friends since I was 8 years old, so it’s no surprise that this is the career that I chose and excel in. I worked for a large day spa in Chandler and Scottsdale and went by the nickname Mimi, a chiropractic office in Ahwatukee, as well as built my own practice.
I'm qualified to perform CRT (Cranial Release Technique), Swedish, Deep Tissue, NMT (Neuromuscular Therapy), Prenatal, Oncology, Intra-Oral TMJD, Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Active Release, PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation), Reflexology and spa services such as hot stones, dry brushing, scrubs, wraps, etc.
I've massaged clients from 6 to 87 years old. Clients with headaches, stress, pain, tension, reduced range of motion and reduced strength have received relief, increased range of motion and mobility from their therapeutic massage sessions.
